I absolutely love Dr. Seuss and sent the Foot Book with my baby girl to daycare this morning! It's hard to name a favorite book because I've liked all the ones I've read but maybe The Grinch book! I also just love that he named those two creatures Thing 1 and Thing 2.....he had such a creative quirkiness!
ReplyDeleteI loved Dr. Seuss as a kid but one of my favorite memories related to Dr. S is this: I babysat an autistic boy when we first got married. "Mr. Brown Can MOO! Can You?" was one of the books that would calm him down almost immediately. It was one of the few books he could read and he loved reading it to me ;)
ReplyDeleteWe are big Dr. Seuss fans here!!
Hey, I posted the giveaway on FB. :)
ReplyDeleteOnly ONE favorite Dr. Seuss book? Impossible! His writing style is just captivating! I love "Hop on Pop"!
ReplyDeleteI shared this on FB :)
ReplyDeleteOh, yes. Dr. Seuss is one of my favorite authors! I'm in! My favorite book, growing up, was Green Eggs & Ham. or The Grinch. Hmmm... hard to choose :-P
ReplyDeleteI love Dr Seuss. As a child my favorite was Green Eggs and Ham. But as a mom, I've come to love My Many Colored Days (which my son loves) and The Lorax (which is also my daughter's favorite).
ReplyDeleteI love the way the rhymes get into my kids' heads over the years, so now that they are starting to read, they can really put the words they know by heart together with the text on the page.
ReplyDeleteMy 3 year old's favourite is Green Eggs & Ham - his favourite colour is green and wants to know why anyone would not want their eggs to be green!
ReplyDeleteI love the imaginative nature of his books. I loved them as a child and now my children love them too!

My favorite Dr. Seuss book as a child was One Fish. I loved the colors, rhyming and funniness of it - and still do to this day
