The Little Faries and I

One rainy spring day

Toward the end of May,

The little faries and I

Hung up the leaves to dry.

We hung them up one by one

And thought it was a world of fun.

But as we hung them, we found

The longer they hung there off the ground,

Dry they did not.

But the wetter they got.
